Protection of the excavations in the towns
Synopsis
The most suitable way to protect the excavations for structure in the towns, where usually it is not possible to make the excavation with the slopes in the construction of an anchored retaining wall. The anchoring is more suitable than splaying with wooden elements since the work in the basin proceeds undisturbed. At the same time the anchoring is cheaper since the old drilling bars could be employed as the anchors. Where the soil is compact the retaining wall may be executed with horizontally placed wooden blocks. In the case of a loose soil the vertically rammed wooden block should be used instead.
