Structural stress analysis by the finite element method
Synopsis
The analysis of the modern structures is frequently a very hard task, which could be solved either by the introduction of some simplifications, or by the model investigations. In the first case the obtained results could be of very doubtful value, while the mo-
del investigations are expensive and consequently seldom used. The article is concerned with the finite element method by which every structure could be analysed irrespective of its elements being one, two or three-dimensional.
