Avtor analizira temeljne naloge regionalnega prostorskega planiranja: raziskovanje in spoznavanje naravnih danosti prostora, registracijo in ovrednotenje možnosti za izkoriščanje prostora in ovrednotenje programskih zasnov ter projektnih zamisli glede na njihovo medsebojno vsklajenost. Podrobno obravnava splošen pomen organizirane informacije, obvladanje naravnih danosti, obvladanje antropogenih danosti in organizacijo dokumentacijskega centra.

The author analyses the fundamental tasks of the regional spatial planing: investigation and comprehension of the natural conditions of the space, registering and evaluation of possibilites for the exploitation of space, the evaluation of the program design and the project conceits with the regard to their mutual accordance. He specifies the general importance of the organized information, then how to be master of natural conditions and of human conditions. At last the paper treats the organization of a centre for space documentation.
