Synopsis

Nearly 75 per cent of new erected building constructions exhibit a number of noticeake damages oc-cured in the construction works. With more important buildings this precentage is rather high than low. More than 50 per cent of damages occured in teh building works may be attributed to an imperfect construction plan that is in an earlier phase of the construction design. Frequently just these structural imperfections can not be corrected.

The author deals with the problems relating to the composition of the research team and proportion of specialist versus general experts. In his opinion the modem society also in the field of construction engineering is not to allow any individual decision since our society structure is very complicated so that the power of making decisions could any more rest in hands of one person although of importance.
