THE QUALITY OF MINERAL AGGREGATES FOR THE ROAD CONSTRUCTION
Synopsis
The autor gives a survey of mineral aggregates for road construction. It is based on the researches carried out partly in situ, but chiefly in laboratory. Then follows a short description of research methods and requirements for adequate aggregate. A need for
the research of aggregates toughness is stressed and the attention is called to the damaging aggregates for concrete and asphalt owing to the chemical weathering. The author recommends the in situ researches as well as adequate laboratory methods for control.
