ČLENITEV NAMENSKE FUNKCIJE PRI OPTIMIZACIJI JEKLENIH OKVIRJEV
UDK: 624.014.2:519.68
FORMULATION OF OBJECTIVE FUNCTION AT THE OPTIMIZATION OF STEEL FRAMES
SUMMARY
At the Chair for Metal Structures at the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering a computer program for optimal design of steel frames was developed. Its objective function is simply represented by the volume of the structure. For the real estimation of the cost of a structure it is necessary to include the whole process of fabrication of steel frame. This paper presents the expanded version of the objective function with the ambition to estimate real fabrication costs as accurately as possible. Its form is based on the availability of data on included fabrication processes. The cost of the structure can be calculated from material costs and fabrication time costs, both spent for the production of welded elements and all joints, with the addition of the transportation and erection costs for the whole structure.
